Schumer shines at Alito hearings

New Yorkers have to be impressed at Senator Chuck Schumer's questioning of Judge Alito at the confirmation hearings. (This assumes you are listening or watchng or getting your info from progressive news services -- the mainstream not-so-liberal media is awful -- I called CBS last night on their one-sided pro-Alito coverage.) On today's morning show, Air America Radio's Rachel Maddow featured his 53 second comment from yesterday which sums up why we should all oppose Alito's confirmation. This guy is right of Attila the Hun (Alito the Hun??) and if the Dems are going to oppose anybody it has got to be this anti-woman, anti-minority, anti-little guy, imperial president supporting corporate hack. I'm calling Hillary Rodham Clinton and Chuck Schumer to say exercise the fillibuster now. This guy makes Harriet Meiers look good. Otherwise, we are losing (what is left of) our democracy.
